Kilmann-Saxton Culture-Gap Survey
The Kilmann-Saxton Culture-Gap Survey (CGS) provides systematic tools for pinpointing cultural norms. The CGS is a two-step analysis: in Part I participants assess the actual norms that are operating in their work group, in Part II participants assess the desired norms that would improve their work group's performance, job satisfaction and morale. The difference between actual and desired norms or "culture-gaps" can be combined to develop profiles at different levels: organizational, department, work group, etc.
The CGS provides key information that can help managers understand the underlying factors that may be hindering performance and job satisfaction.
