The Productivity Sourcebook
The Productivity Sourcebook is divided into five sections. The first is an introductory section describing general background of productivity problems which organizations face. The second section concerns individual productivity and how organizations may measure, design, manage, and provide consequences to improve individual productivity. The third section deals with group productivity and how organizations may foster leadership to create more productive work teams. The fourth deals with organization-wide issues such as employee participation, the measurement of large group productivity issues, and gain-sharing. This section also attempts to provide specific gain-sharing examples and how organizations may better manage innovation. The fifth section discusses innovation and productivity. Approach productivity as part of the continuing management process. Materials consist of readings, transparency masters/overheads, a case study, exercises and guidelines for developing productivity interventions.
